I remember a time when phpNuke was the big thing and everybody wanted it an used it because it was “easy”. I personally never liked it, mostly because of it’s poor layout. Then came postNuke, which was an improvement and a fork of phpNuke, but still not the best and still with a bad layout and structure…
As I was going to do a non-profit project for a friend of mine, I was looking for some new CMS systems, because surely some GREAT systems had to exist… I found a bunch which was only half done and not very cool or easy to use or translate. So I started creating the site with postNuke…
Then today I found this site that used another CMS system called e107, it’s actually very cool and seems to have lots of plugins… Anyway, I dumped postNuke and e107 is now my favorite CMS system to date, has a create community built around it and lots of plugins and easy to skin…
So I guess my point is that finally a good flexible CMS system has been created. Too bad not that many know of it, yet :)
