Jannis approached me today asking me if I was “with him”.

He wanted to release a new version of serendipity today. So of course I jumped into action (muaha), and we figured out what needed to be done and who would do what.

I wanted to do the new template system, basically because I thought it sounded more fun than translating lots of static text :)

So I began. Just when I was maybe 95% done, I had some… ehhh… well, I accedently deleted the main function file, thereby deleting *one hour of work*.

I was ready to shoot myself, but figured there was no reason this had to affect the whole world ;). So I quickly got back to reprogramming everything again, took me 30 minutes plus 10 minutes to have a discussion with jannis about me nowt wanting to stuff in some code he had written.
Then it came to commiting everything to CVS, which again turned out to be harder than normal.

Sourceforge’s CVS is very much b0rked, at the bottom of the CVS page it says: “NOTE: ViewCVS is currently running against the backup CVS server; data shown may be up to 24 hours old.”… Great, so I had a shitload of trouble commiting a directory.

Finally I got it committed and the template system now kicks some major booty :)

Anyway, I spent the day coding PHP (yay :))and will most likely spend the night debugging it…
