I’ve been wanting a personal domain for some time…
It would be cool to have sommer.org (which would make my mails look like tom@sommer.org). But all sommer.* domains are taken
So I really have no idea what to buy for a personal domain…
On a side note I am planning a new project which is a forum. The domain is availiable so I’m not saying another word before I buy it :D

Perhaps you could try e-mailing that guy from DeviantART. Those icons rock, and maybe he would be willing to let us use them (good exposure for him…) Can’t hurt to ask.
