Once agian , The Encyclopedia of Arda has created a page containing the diffirences and untold stories of the final Lord of the Rings movie.
I can truely recommend anyone who has seen The Return of The King and are just a little bit facinated with the whole Lord of The Rings story – to read it, it’s great..
It made me turn another page in my Lord of the Rings book :)

The books are way much better than the movies… But the movies aren’t bad at all ;)
the lord of the rings is the best movie ever period
Great Film!!!
Personally, I believe that Tolkien’s novels have been destroyed by Jackson’s interpretation. He has left out so many important scenes that some thing that happen later on are not as evident as they should be. Also, scenes from the fellowship are in the two towers and some scenes from the two towers are in the return of the king. If Jackson had have stuck to having all the scenes with their corresponding book, then it might have helped a bit. Overall, i was very disappointed.
If the Jackon’s movie contains all scenes from the books, the movie would last a lifetime…
i agree tht the movie woud hav been too big if they had included every scene in the book but that didnt stop me from getting irritated at various points while watching the 2nd and 3rd movies. they could hav included some left out scenes if they hadnt overplayed the romance between arwen and aragorn which is hrdly mentioned in the book. also the capture of sam and frodo by faramir was exaggerated while in the book faramir didnt show any interest in taking the ring…they did more such stuff which could hav been left out to make the movie shorter
They had to leave out alot of things and only keep the absolute necessities. like ivica said the movie would never have ended if it had all the scenes but i agree some which should have been in the movie were not there. Arwen and Aragorn are mentioned alot in the book but i think only in the full book with all 3 parts
