So after all this “PHP Scales” discussion, I decided to register at friendster.com to see what all the talk was about.
It seems like complete copy of orkut.com, where I am also registered, perhaps the main difference being that it recently turned to PHP :)
The first thing I noticed was that it wasn’t very Mozilla Friendly(tm), which was a little disappointing.
Well now I’m registered, I have no idea how to use it or get started – but at least I have a profile there, I think :)
some differences:
-friendster was way before orkut
-about 8 million more users than orkut
-has a better male/female ratio than orkut, which in my opinion is a total ’sausagefest’
I’ve been wanting to try out orkut. Could I bother you for an invite?
Sorry, that would kind of defeat the whole purpose of Orkut :)
