I switched from Bloglines to Google Reader today, because I found out bloglines had a huge (3h-1d) lag discoverying updates in RSS feeds.
I really enjoyed the beta version of bloglines, and I don’t really like the way Google Reader’s “Expanded View” is so jaggy – but one has to consider the basic purpose of a RSS aggregator, to keep you notified of new updates, and when that fails, then no smart feature will keep me around.
I hope the people behind Google Reader will look at how the beta of bloglines work, cause the bloglines navigation and Expanded View is just a bit more pleasent to work with.
Lately I’ve found myself reading more blogs than usual, even non-tech blogs about life, and a lot more danish blogs. Seems the quality of the content out there has improved a lot, or maybe it’s just me. I’ve even considered opening a new blog for myself, and post in danish.
